Gov Yusuf nominates 6 as Commissioners
Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has nominated six persons for appointment as Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council.
This is contained in a letter to the State House of Assembly and read at Monday’s plenary by the Speaker, Alhaji Ismail Falgore.
Falgore said the nominees included Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi Wayya, Mr Shehu Wada Sagagi, Dr. Dahiru Mohammad Hashim, Dr Isma’il Dan Maraya, Mr Gaddafi Sani Shehu and Mr Abdulkadir AbdulSalam.
The nominees were expected to appear before the house on Tuesday for screening.Yusuf had in a major cabinet reshuffle dropped his Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Bappa Bichi and scrapped the office of the Chief of Staff.
He also sacked five members of his cabinet to including Ibrahim Jibril Fagge of Finance Ministry, Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, Culture and Tourism; Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information and Internal Affairs, Shehu Aliyu Yammedi, Special Duties and Abbas Sani Abbas, Rural and Community Development.
