Governor Sule Sacks Political Adviser
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Mohammed Baba Shehu, with immediate effect.
The Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, announced the termination of the appointment in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, Baba Shehu had violated the circular issued in September 2025 restraining political appointees from identifying with any aspirant before the lifting of the ban on political activities by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The statement dated February 5, 2026, added that the disengagement of the appointment was with immediate effect.
Baba-Shehu had served as Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council before his appointment as political advised by Governor Sule.
