Governors Forum, UNDP Sign MoU On Investment, Financial Reform
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and the United Nations Development Programme, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen collaboration on subnational investment and financing reform.
The partnership aims to strengthen States’ fiscal and institutional capacity to attract long-term financing, establish frameworks for blended and innovative finance, and build a pipeline of bankable projects aligned with national and global sustainability goals.
Both reaffirmed their commitment to advancing development across key sectors such as agriculture, energy transition, healthcare, education, and the digital economy.
They also pledged to ensure that every state contributes meaningfully to Nigeria’s development trajectory.
The UNDP Country Representative, Ms. Elsie Attafuah, endorsed the MoU while the Director-General of NGF, signed on behalf of the Forum.
