Governors meet CDS over insecurity
A meeting of the 36 states state governors under the aegis of the Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF, has opened on Wednesday of the National Economic Council meeting on Thursday.
The governors will be briefed on the resurgence of security challenges across the Northern region by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa.
Hundreds of people have been killed in the last two weeks as terrorists and other criminals attack communities particularly in Katsina, Zamfara, Plateau, Benue, Borno, Niger and Kwara States.
They will also be briefed on the Federal Government housing programme by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Architect Ahmed Dangiwa.
