Gunmen abduct 5 female students of Federal University Dutsinma

The Police Command in Katsina State has confirmed the abduction of five female students of Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Abubakar Aliyu said that the gunmen invaded the resident of the students located behind Mariamoh Ajiri Memorial School, Dutsinma at about 2a.m.

He however said that the police had arrested one person suspected to have supplied information to the terrorists who abducted the students.

Aliyu said that the police and other security agencies have gone after the abductors with a view to rescue the students unhurt.
