Igabi LGA Seeks Collaboration With Federal Fire Service On Emergency Response
The Vice Chairman of Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Alhaji Kabir Salisu Sambo, on Thursday, met with the State Controller of Federal Fire Service (FFS), Mr Ayuba Jonah Sule, to explore areas of collaboration.
The Vice Chairman said effective collaboration on emergency response would safeguard lives, infrastructure, and other properties across the local government area.
He noted that Igabi is not only the most populous local government area in Kaduna State, but also the largest LGA in terms of land area, covering approximately 3,222 square kilometers.
Alhaji Kabiru said this has made it imperative for the local council to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide the necessary infrastructure, facilities and expertise to safeguard lives and properties during emergency.
In his response, the FFS State Controller welcomed the visit, assuring that they were ready to collaborate and ensure the safety of lives and properties in Igabi and all parts of the state.
The Syndicate reports that the Vice Chairman also met with the Zone B Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Mr Garba Ahmed Karaye, who commended the initiative and the proposal by the leadership of Igabi local government.
