IGP Approves Posting Of 38 Commissioners of Police
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate posting of 38 Commissioners of Police to various commands and formations.
The deployment comprised nine CPs posted to key state commands and 29 to various police formations across the country.
Those posted to state commands include Bello Shehu, Katsina; Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, Zamfara; Bretet Emmanuel Simon, Taraba; Christopher Ado Emmanuel, Yobe; Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin, Cross-River; Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, Niger; Sani Omolori Aliyu, Bauchi; Saka Adewale Ajao, Federal Capital Territory; and Ojo Adekimi, Kwara.
The IGP said that the exercise was part of broader efforts to address rising security challenges and ensure effective policing nationwide.
He directed each CP to implement tailored security strategies that reflect the unique requirements of their respective formations,
Egbetokun also charged them to curb insecurity and misconduct, and reinforce law and order through robust intelligence-led policing.
“This deployment reflects the dedication of the new Police leadership to ensure that the Nigeria Police Force is well-equipped to address the challenges of maintaining peace and security in the country,” he added.
