Insecurity: Governor Radda rewards 4 gallant policemen

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, on Saturday, presented N5.5 million cash to four policemen who displayed uncommon courage in the fight against insecurity in the state.

The policemen are CSP Andrew Alphonsus, SP Ibrahim Garba, ASP Auwal Kabir, and ASP Iro Shuaibu.

He said out of the money, Alphonsus would take N2 million, Garba N1.5 million, while Kabir and Shuaibu will get N1 million each.

The officers had also received special recognition from the Inspector General of Police for their outstanding achievements in combating insecurity.

The governor, who commended the strong working relationship between the state government and all security agencies, said he was happy with the unwavering support of the security personnel in the fight against insecurity.

Radda also acknowledged their dedication and sacrifices as they strive to make the state safe for all.

The state government is immensely proud of your accomplishments, he told the officers, and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment in providing relevant support for security agencies to confront all criminal elements in the state.

Earlier, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, who presented the four officers to the governor, explained that the Inspector General’s award was to motivate police personnel throughout the country in the discharge of their responsibilities.
