Jigawa NNPP Chieftain Slams Gov Namadi Over ‘Wasteful’ Foreign Trips

The 2023 governorship candidate of the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) in Jigawa State, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, has accused the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi of wasting public funds on frequent unproductive foreign trips.
The NNPP chieftain, who made the assertion during the party’s rally in Taura town, also slammed the governor for allegedly deceiving the people and his clear lack of experience and bad governance.
According to him, the the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state and at the federal level have emasculated the interest of the common man and
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Malam Umar Namadi have failed to act on the people’s interest, particularly common man’s immediate needs that would transform their social and economic status, instead they have been emphasising anti-common man policies that are throwing Nigerians into more difficulties.
“Imagine in spite of the current hardships, the Jigawa state governor has made two foreign trips to India and China in the interval of four days. This is a waste of public resources, clearly deceitful, bad governance and an indication of poor planning for the future of our state,” Malam Aminu said.
The NNPP chieftain also condemned some aspects of former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido’s book, “Being True to My Self” launched last month.
According to him, the book is full of inaccuracies, including the claim that “I’m not Nigerian, I’m a citizen of Niger Republic. This is completely a lie”.
Malam Aminu said the claim was made by Lamido deliberately to dent his image and political carrier.
He urged people of the state and Nigerians as a whole to vote out the APC led administration in the 2027 elections for plunging the people into an unprecedented socio-economic crisis.
