Jigawa Senator Donates Food Items Worth N300m To Constituents

The Senator representing Jigawa Northwest senatorial district, Dr Babangida Hussaini has donated rice and assorted grains worth N300 million to indigent people in the constituency in celebration of the Islamic month of Ramadan.
The senator said the food items will be shared across 12 local government areas in the senatorial district.
“Apart from the food materials to be distributed, there is also a token of N25,000, N20,000 and N10, 000 to some beneficiaries to buy sugar and other ingredients to enjoy the holy month worshipping Allah.
“We are prepared to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, and I am pleased to support my people by providing 3 trailer loads of rice, and 3 trailers of millet. We are allocating 150 bags of rice and 150 bags of millet to each of the 12 local government areas in the senatorial district.
“This initiative reflects my dedication to the well-being of my constituents, ensuring that families have the necessary support during this sacred period.
May this Ramadan bring peace, blessings, and strengthen our faith,” Senator Hussaini said.
He added that in his steadfast commitment to uplifting the people of Jigawa North West, 400 women will receive N25,000 each to support their businesses and improve their livelihood.
“Just like our youth, women are the backbone of our communities, and empowering them is key to building a stronger and more prosperous society. This is more than just financial assistance, it is a step towards economic growth, self-reliance, and sustainable development.”
