Jigawa Senator upgrades 2 township stadiums to boost sporting activities

The senator representing Jigawa Northwest senatorial district, Senator Babangida Hussaini has renovated and upgraded two township stadiums to enhance sporting activities in the constituency.

The Syndicate reports that the facilities located in Gumel and Kazaure, were officially opened by Jigawa State governor, Malam Umar Namadi.

“I remain fully committed to advancing every initiative that empowers our youth, strengthens our communities, and supports the long term development of Jigawa State.

“In my ongoing efforts to promote youth engagement, social cohesion, and sports developsment, I have initiated and supported the upgrade of major sports infrastructure across Jigawa North West.

“I did it in Kazaure, I’ve now delivered it in Gumel, then Ringim which is coming soon,” Hussaini said at the commissioning of the Gumel stadium.

The lawmaker pledged to continue with the mission across the district to ensure that more youth have access to safe, functional, and inspiring environment.

“These projects go beyond football, they are investments in peace, health, talent, and opportunities,” he added.

In his speech, Governor Namadi appreciated the senator’s efforts in promoting sporting activities and making the teeming youth to engage in pleasure and recreation.

He reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure sustainable development of the youth in all facets of life, and urged the youth and people of Gumel to utilise the facility properly.
