JNAPD, NLC Women Committee visits Jigawa Head of Service
The leadership of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JNAPD) Jigawa State Chapter has paid a courtesy visit to the Jigawa State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri.
During the visit, the Chairman of JNAPD, Honourable Adamu Shu’aibu Jigawar Tsada, told the Head of Service that they were in his office to formally introduce themselves as the executive members of the Association and advocated for greater inclusivity of persons with disabilities in government recruitment processes and other privileges.
He commended the Jigawa State Government for its progressive policies aimed at empowering persons with disabilities and noted that the establishment of the disability fund, currently exceeding N90million, has significantly contributed to supporting people with special needs.
Responding, the Jigawa State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri expressed gratitude for the visit and assured the Association of his unwavering support and cooperation, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens, including those with disabilities.
In a related development, the leadership of the NLC Women Committee has also visited the Head of Service.
The Chairperson of the Association, Comrade Salma Iliyasu Abubakar said they were in the Head of Service’s office to formally introduce themselves as the newly elected executive members of the Association and advocated for increased women’s representation in government appointments at all levels.
She highlighted the need for collaboration with the Jigawa State Government to enhance the productivity of women workers in the State.
Responding, the Jigawa State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri welcomed their initiative and reiterated his commitment to supporting the women’s committee in achieving their objectives.
This visit signifies a strong commitment to inclusivity and support for both groups within the State, fostering a collaborative environment for meaningful dialogue and action.
