Kano intending pilgrims to pay N8.2m for 2026 Hajj
Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board ( KSPWB) has fixed ₦8,244,813.67 as the final fare for the 2026 Holy Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia from the state.
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Mr Sulaiman Dederi on Sunday in Kano.
“Those who have already deposited ₦8.5 million will receive a refund of ₦255,186.33 once they submit a written request to the board,” he said.
Dederi stated that intending pilgrims making fresh payments were required to pay the full amount of ₦8,244,813.67.
He said the deadline for the payment of the fare was 31st December 2025, in line with directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He called on all intending pilgrims to ensure they complete their payments before the deadline to secure their Hajj slots.
The board disclosed that it registered no fewer than 3,155 intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj and concluded sales of the state’s allocation of seats.
