Katsina Police Arrest 2 Suspects With 305 Live Ammunition, 6 AK-47 Magazines

Katsina State Command under the leadership of CP Bello Shehu, has arrested two suspected notorious gun runners, and recovered six AK 47 magazines, and 305 rounds of live ammunition.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Command spokesman, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, said that the suspects on Tuesday.
“On 27th January, 2026, at about 1400 hrs, while on an intelligence-led stop and search along the Zaria to Funtua road, intercepted the duo of Shu’aibu Musa, alias Abba, 30, and Ahmed Sani, 27, riding on a motorcycle.
“Upon instant search, six AK-47 magazines and three hundred and five rounds of live 7.62 mm ammunition neatly concealed were recovered from their possession.
“During investigation, the suspects confessed to having received the exhibits from Jos, Plateau State, to be delivered to a suspected notorious armed bandits kingpin,” Aliyu said.
He said that the Commissioner of Police, while commending the operatives for a job well done, urged the public to continue supporting the command’s crime-fighting efforts by providing timely and accurate information for prompt and decisive action against criminal elements in the state.
