KDSG Rolls Out Subsidised Bus Service Monday

The Kaduna State Government says its subsidised transport service for civil servants and students will begin on July 7, in Kaduna metropolis.

The Director General of Kaduna State Regulatory Authority (KADSTRA), Engr Inuwa Ibrahim said in a statement that the  transport service will be for the first ten days.

The Director General said some of the buses will operate in strict adherence to order, security and effective service delivery.

He said civil servants will be granted access to the busses upon presentation of valid staff Identity Card and a matching National Identification Number, to prevent misuse and ensure that only genuine government workers enjoy the free bus service.

“Students from both public and private schools will be allowed to board the buses, provided they are in their complete school uniforms.’’

“All personnel of recognised security agencies are eligible to access the buses, upon proper identification through their uniforms,’’ he stated.

The buses will ply Rigachikun – Kawo – Kasuwa – Sabo and Sabo – Kasuwa – Kawo – Rigachikun; Rigachikun – Kawo – Independence way – Yakowa Road and Yakowa Road – Independence way – Kawo- Rigachikun; Tudun Wada – Poly road – Sokoto road – Kawo and Kawo – Sokoto road – Poly road – Tudun Wada road.

The Director General advised commuters against jumping queue while trying to get unto the buses, adding that law and order will be strictly maintained.
