Kebbi Governor approves N1.14bn for 445 contract staff death benefits
The Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has approved the release of N1.14 billion to settle the gratuity and death benefits of 445 contract staff in the state.
This is contained in a statement by a director in the office of the Head of Service of the state, Rashidu Muhammad-Bala.
“The approved sum of N1,144,428,745.74 is for the payment of gratuity and death benefits for the state contract staff.
“The payment is part of Kebbi State Governor’s magnanimity and efforts to streamline the state civil service through good governance,” the statement read.
It assured all non indigenous staff in the service of the government that the present administration under Governor Idris “is for all”, irrespective of tribe or religioun.
