Buji LG chairman gives 500 bags free fertilizer to PWDs, women farmers in Jigawa

The Chairman of Buji local government area in Jigawa State, Arch. Najibullah Falalu Tukur, on Tuesday, distributed 500 bags of free fertilizer worth over N26 million to People Living with Disability (PWDs) and women farmers in the area.
The Syndicate reports that the fertiliser was distributed in Gantsa, the local government headquarters.
Speaking at the ceremony, which was attended by prominent politicians, traditional and religious leaders, Tukur said other beneficiaries included party executives, traditional rulers, imams, trade unions, and security personnel.
According to him,  less privilege people from the council’s 117 polling units also benefited.
“This is part our determination to uphold and improve the lives of our people by supporting them to be food-secure and self-reliant, in addition to crime prevention.”
He added that the gesture was to support the visionary leadership of Governor Umar Namadi, especially his agricultural reforms, which covers farm mechanization, improved crop production and the livestock development.
“This is more than just fertilizer  it is an investment in our people, our land, and our shared future. It is my way of telling every farmer, every family, and every community: Buji stands with you, Buji invests in you, Buji believes in you,” Tukur said.
