Manchester United have sacked Erik ten Hag, ending his two-and-a-half-year spell at Old Trafford.

The coach was sacked on Monday after a poor start to the premier league campaign which leaves United 14th on the Premier League table.

Ten Hag was appointed in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.

The 54-year-old former Ajax boss was backed by new co-owners INEOS in the summer with a contract extension until June 2026.

However, Man Utd’s underwhelming start to the new campaign has now seen the manager pay the price for their patchy form.
