Minister mobilises support for Tinubu

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Yusuf Attah has called on Nigerians to provide the necessary support for President Bola Tinubu, toward laying solid foundation for the development of the country.
Atta said this at the Presentation of Scholarship Award to 1,000 Kano Students by the Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Barau Jibrin in Kano on Saturday.
“I need to first of all appreciate the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for what he has been doing to Nigeria as a whole, particularly Kano State.
“In Kano State, the best he has done for Kano State is to agree and support the election of Senator Barau Malia as the Deputy Senate President of this country.
“So whatever Barau is doing to Nigeria or Kano State was made possible because of his appointment or his election by his colleagues as a Deputy Senate President, but through the assistance and support of Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
The Minister said there was need for the people of Kano and the northern parts of the country to remember and appreciate the President for his efforts in bringing so many projects to the State.

“We need to remember all this, that Barau has gotten this opportunity to serve his people because of the support he has been getting from the President of this nation. So, the President has been doing a lot for Kano State, and we need to be reminding our citizens, especially on the part of northern Nigeria, because there is a lot of propaganda against Mr. President,” Atah said.
He said that there were many projects brought to the state by Tinubu through his ministry.
“We are currently undertaking so many programmes.
“There are the renewed home estate programmes he launched about a year ago, where 250 houses are going to be built in each state. He started with 12, two from each geopolitical zone. In the northwestern zone alone, after selecting Katsina and Sokoto states for this project, he added Kano State again, that 500 units of houses should be built in Kano, not 250.

“That is in addition to our share of two states, Katsina and Sokoto. So the northwest zone of the country is enjoying three projects in this renewed home estate programme. There is another programme of renewed home cities where my ministry is partnering with the major developers in this country, that is private companies.
“President Tinubu selected seven states. Kano is included, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Imo, and I do not remember the other one, but Kano State is also included among this programme, that is the renewed home cities programme. So Kano has been given priorities among other states.

“Even if you count appointments, I don’t think Lagos State is more than Kano State. If you take the total of appointees, he has given to Kano State. So this should be remembered all the time, to appreciate Mr. President for all he has been doing for the country, as well as Kano State,” Atta added.
