Namadi Assents To Jigawa’s N698.3bn Appropriation Bill

Jigawa state governor Umar Namadi of has assented to the 2025 Appropriation Bill passed into law by the state House of Assembly.
The law empowers the state government to spend N689.3 billion in the 2025 fiscal year.
The governor said while signing the document that it was an important step towards making Jigawa State greater.
“Seventy six percent of the budget is for capital projects and this shows our stride and our desire to develop Jigawa state.”
“This budget is carefully crafted, we have clear objectives, we are clear on our revenue and expenditures,” he said.
The governor commended state House of Assembly for the expeditious passage of the appropriation bill, saying it signified the synergy between the executive and the legislature.
Namadi called for more collaboration between all the arms of government to ensure effective delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.
