North-West Accord Party Leaders Pass Vote of Confidence on National Chairman

Leaders of the Accord party in the North West have passed a vote of confidence on the party’s National Chairman, Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem and other members of the National Executive Council.
According to a statement issued by the Jigawa State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Isah Inshallah, and made available to The Syndicate on Sunday, the decision was taken during a meeting of the Zonal Working Committee and State Chairmen of the party, held in Dutse.
The statement indicated that the meeting recognised the “tireless efforts” of the national chairman in uniting, strengthening and repositioning the party across the country.
It dismissed reports alleging division or factionalisation within the Accord party, describing such claims as misleading and unfounded.
The statement urged Nigerians to disregard the reports and instead focus on the party’s manifesto, which it said contains programmes capable of moving the nation forward under an inclusive and people-oriented leadership.
The North West zonal leaders condemned the actions of the party’s former presidential candidate, Professor Christopher Emumolen, accusing him of attempting to create confusion within the party.
They said Professor Emumolen was no longer a member of the Accord party, having been expelled following his anti-party activities, including alleged support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party’s North West leaders welcomed Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for his bold decision to join the Accord party, assuring him of full support, including the mobilisation of resources to ensure victory in the forthcoming governorship election..
