North-West Youths Unveil President Tinubu’s Two-Year Scorecard in Jigawa

Youth from six states of the North-West geopolitical zone have converged on Dutse, the Jigawa state capital, to celebrate and unveil the two-year performance scorecard of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event, organised under the banner of the North-West Youth Pally, showcased the administration’s achievements in youth empowerment, economic renewal, and education reform.
Reports from the state indicated that the event also featured the launch of an empowerment grant for traders at the Dutse Central Market — a move aimed at boosting small businesses and strengthening grassroots enterprise.
Declaring the event open, Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, described the gathering as “timely and patriotic,” commending the youths for acknowledging the president’s strides in repositioning Nigeria.
Governor Namadi lauded President Tinubu’s “unwavering commitment to youth empowerment,” noting that young people remain the driving force of national development.
“Since assuming office, President Tinubu has shown uncommon dedication to improving the lives of young Nigerians,” the governor said.
“His administration has created opportunities for self-reliance and innovation through initiatives that are already reshaping our collective future.”
He further disclosed that governors from the North-West region are fully aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in the areas of youth development, job creation, and economic diversification.
“We are confident that by 2027, Nigerian youths will stand firmly behind President Tinubu because he has stood for them, for Nigeria’s unity, and for progress,” Namadi added.
In his remarks, the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, described President Tinubu as “a visionary leader who has placed Nigerian youths at the heart of national transformation.”
According to the minister, the administration’s deliberate investment in human capital is yielding tangible results nationwide.
“Within just two years, the government has laid the foundation for a new generation of productive, creative, and globally competitive Nigerians. Through digital innovation hubs, vocational centres, and targeted training programmes, our youths are being equipped with the skills needed to thrive,” Olawande said.
He urged young people to sustain their support for the president’s policies, stressing that the Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to make Nigeria a land of opportunity and innovation.
Unveiling the official two-year performance scorecard, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said the Tinubu administration has made measurable progress in economic stability, education, job creation, and social investment.
He outlined some of the key achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda says in education and Human Capital Development over 620,000 students have benefited from the National Students Loan Scheme, with total disbursements exceeding ₦116 billion.
In Skills and Job Creation, more than one million youths have been shortlisted for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, with 250,000 currently undergoing the first phase of practical training.
While in Economic Stability, fiscal reforms and renewed investor confidence have strengthened the national economy, while multiple youth-focused innovation funds and start-up initiatives have been launched to boost technology-driven entrepreneurship.
Idris emphasized that the administration’s policies are focused on inclusive growth through social investment, agricultural transformation, and infrastructure renewal.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan,” he said. “It is a living reality that is touching lives, creating opportunities, and restoring faith in the Nigerian dream.”
The event concluded with thunderous chants of “Renewed Hope, Renewed Future” as thousands of enthusiastic youths pledged their continued support for President Tinubu’s vision.
Observers say the gathering in Dutse reflected growing optimism among Northern youths who view the administration’s two-year performance as a credible foundation for Nigeria’s sustained progress.
