NSCDC Trains 208 For VIP Protection, Internal Security
The Commandant General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has tasked personnel to deploy advance tactical knowledge and precision skills to significantly strengthen internal security, VIP protection, and emergency response.
Professor Audi, represented at the Passing-Out-Parade of the second batch of the VIP Proficiency Course 002 by the Assistant Commandant General for Training and Manpower Development, ACG Muktar Lawal, emphasized that specialized tasks such as VIP protection and tactical operations are demanding and sensitive, requiring participants to demonstrate absolute alertness, emotional intelligence, integrity, and strict adherence to the rules of engagement.
He called on the graduating personnel to act as distinguished ambassadors of the Corps by ensuring their conduct is characterized by professionalism, law-abiding behavior, and operational efficiency.
The CG reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to continuous training and retraining, noting that the VIP Proficiency Course 002 in Basic Tactical Skills and Weapon Handling was specifically designed to equip the officers with the modern tactical expertise, precision weapon skills, and mental preparedness essential for high-risk protective assignments.
He reminded the personnel that the weapons entrusted to them are symbols of trust and must be handled with the highest sense of responsibility and accountability.
A total of 208 participants drawn from all 36 state commands, the Federal Capital Territory, and the National Headquarters, successfully completed the training.
