PDP Ward Congress: A Foundation of New Journey for Victory – Sule Lamido

Former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido says the wards congress of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) will lay new foundation for the party’s journey towards total victory in the 2027 general elections.
The former governor said this while fielding questions from newsmen at the state PDP secretariat in Dutse, shortly after the party’s stakeholders meeting ahead of the wards congress.
“This time around all plans have been mapped out and strategies put in place to elect and place eminent members of the party in the leadership position who would work in the best interest of the party, members and society in general”.
“Part of the plan and strategy is the condition put for any member to meet before he or she qualify to hold any office right from ward level to whatever position.
“The condition include, one must be a card carrying member, he/she never been found of anti party activities, never convicted on any criminal offence etc.
“This is because in the past, the party was betrayed, party materials not be properly distributed, party’s funds not given to agents during 2023 elections. Some people were trying to make the party their personal enterprises. This we would not tolerate.
“That is why in trying to lay a new foundation for this party, we said look anybody who has done anything wrong such as anti party or who misappropriated the party’s funds would no be parts of the party leadership,” Lamido said.
According to him, party leaders who will emerge from the congress will be people of good characters, intergrity and honesty.
