Police, NAF Obliterate Bandits Camps In Kankara LGA
The Nigerian Air Force’ precision airstrikes has destroyed the hideouts of notorious bandit and neutralised several of the armed criminals in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The Air Component interdiction was in response to a distress call after bandits ambushed Nigerian Police personnel conducting clearance operations behind Science Secondary School, Kankara.
The criminals, led by notorious kingpin Babaru, attacked a Police Armoured Personnel Carrier, killing one police inspector and injured another.
The Nigerian Air Force fighter jet immediately deployed to the area and successfully neutralised the bandits operating on motorcycles.
Additional strikes targeted the bandits attempting to escape and hiding within rustled cattle herds and dense riverside vegetation.
The operation also destroyed camps belonging to bandits leaders Sanusi Dutsinma and Sanusi Iku located in Matallawa Hills in Kankara.
