PSC Elavates Ari To DIG
The Police Service Commission, PSC, has announced the elevation of Ari Mohammed Ali to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG, with effect from Tuesday.
Ari, who is the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone One, Kano, replaced DIG Ade Ayuba, who has retired from service.
Ari, from Nasarawa state will represent the North Central region in the Nigeria Police Force management team, just like retired DIG Ayuba.

Head, Press and Public Relations, PSC, explained that the elavation was ratified during an emergency management meeting of the commission.
The PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, charged the new DIG to uphold professionalism and imbibe zero tolerance for corruption.
Argungu also encouraged Ari to support the commission’s vision of making the Police Force more professional and accountable to the Nigerian people.
“The PSC is building a new Police that will be the pride of the Nigeria people, free of corruption but full of vigour and determination to serve,” he said, adding that they will continue to partner with the Police for it to succeed protecting lives and property and dismantling crime and criminality.
