Ramadan: Buji Council Boss Disburses Cash, Food Palliatives Across 10 Wards

The Buji Local Government Council in Jigawa State has disbursed cash and food items to vulnerable residents across its 10 political wards as part of the council’s Ramadan palliative measures.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony in Gantsa, the headquarters of Buji Local Government Area, the Council Chairman, Arch. Najeebullah Falalu Tukur, said the gesture was made possible through the support of Governor Umar Namadi.
According to him, ₦50,000 each was presented to 50 beneficiaries, while 120 persons received ₦20,000 each, drawn from the 10 wards of the council area.
“In addition, we distributed 500 cartons of spaghetti to vulnerable residents. The food items were also extended to APC executives and some party members through the new leadership of the party in the local government for onward distribution,” he said.
The chairman described the intervention as a seasonal effort by the council to cushion the effects of economic hardship during the holy month of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, Falalu reaffirmed the council’s commitment to supporting religious leaders and scholars to promote spiritual renewal, moral guidance, unity and peaceful coexistence in the area.
He gave the assurance while receiving an Islamic scholar posted to Buji by Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah for this year’s annual Ramadan Tafseer.
The chairman assured the cleric of the council’s full support and cooperation throughout the period, noting that the annual Tafseer provides a vital platform for strengthening unity, peace and understanding with in the community.
