Security Forces Rescue 3 Kidnapped Victims in Katsina
The Katsina State Government has announced the successful rescue of three kidnapped victims by the troops of Forward Operation Base in the Mabai area of the state on Tuesday morning.
Followed a distress call at about 7:00 AM from Anguwan Kasale village, the security forces immediately mobilized to respond to reports of three individuals found in the bush with their hands and legs bound in chains.
The swift response of the troops led to the successful rescue of the victims identified as Umar Isa (27), Abdulrahman Sa’ada (28) and Usman Auwal (60).
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasir Mua’zu, the rescued victims are currently in safe custody and will be transported to Kankara Local Government Area for the removal of their restraints before being handed over to local government authorities for further necessary action and support.
He said “this successful operation demonstrates the effectiveness of our security architecture and the dedication of our security personnel to protecting the lives and property of Katsina State residents.
“I want to assure all residents of Katsina State that the administration of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, remains strongly committed to ensuring the safety and security of every citizen. We’ll continue to strengthen our security strategies and maintain close coordination with all security agencies to combat criminal activities and protect our communities.
“We encourage residents to remain vigilant and continue providing timely information to security agencies to enable swift responses to security challenges.”
He expressed gratitude to the security operatives for their professionalism and swift action in this rescue operation.
