Sen. Ndume Empowers 4,000 Constituents

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has provided relief materials and cash assistance to 4,000 constituents in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The assistance was to enhance local businesses and relieve the beneficiaries of the current hardship in the country.

The Syndicate reports that a total of 2,000 elderly people were provided with cash support to boost their businesses in Pulka area of Gwoza LGA.

Ndume also donated clothing materials for 2,000 women and children Gwoza town, which was a follow up to similar donation made by the senator to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Kopa community in Askira/Uba and Damboa LGAs.

The beneficiaries said that the gesture was a reflection of Senator Ndume’s deep-seated commitment to the welfare of his people, making him a beacon of hope and resilience for residents of Borno South.

In his remarks, Ndume said that the intervention was to mitigate the current hardship plaguing the nation, and ensure economic stability for local petty traders whose capital has been greatly depleted by the harsh economic policies of government.

“People are barely able to meet daily sustenance”, he noted, and assured that he would continue to defend their interest at all times.

He told his constituents not to be troubled by his current political setback. “I can see some of you are worried, there is no need to worry, please. The fact remains that your son was removed because he spoke the truth about the real situation facing the common man, the hunger in the country.”

The lawmaker said he has always appreciated their overwhelming support, adding, “I will always stand by you and work tirelessly to protect your interest.”
