Senator Hands Over N200m PHC To Jigawa Govt

The Senator representing Jigawa Northeast senatorial district, Abdulhamid Ahmed Malammadori, has handed over a N200 million new comprehensive health centre he built and equipped to the Jigawa State Government.
The Syndicate reports that the PHC is located in Yayari ward, Hadeja.
Malammadori said he personally undertook the project in response to the dire need of the health facility by people of the community.
He said that the project was to compliment the efforts of the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in providing healthcare services to the people.
“This is a primary healthcare clinic constructed and equipped by me personally considering the urgent and dire need of the facility in the area. It is not a government funded constituency project.
“By the grace of God Almighty, we are now handing it over to the state government. Our responsibility is to serve the people in the best way we can and we’ll continue to do our best,” Malammadori said.
In his speech, Governor Namadi appreciated the senator for the facility and urged other legislators from the state to emulate him.
“This solid work is of standard and march such facilities even in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. This is well commendable being the first of its kind.
“The state government is constructing one primary healthcare clinic at each of the 281 political wards. So far, we have achieved about 70 percent. The Senator has do one for us, and we are calling other federal lawmakers to emulate him,” he added.
