Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has paid a visit to the victims of the recent terrorist attack on Chinane undergoing treatment at the Borno State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri.
Sen. Ndume conveyed his deepest sympathies and concern for the well-being of the victims and their families.
Despite the challenges faced by the victims, including one being in the Intensive Care Unit, the senator’s presence brought solace and encouragement to all those affected by the tragic events.
He offered prayers for the swift recovery of the victims, emphasizing the importance of standing in solidarity “with these brave individuals who have made tremendous sacrifices in service to their community”.
Recognizing the profound impact of the attack on the victims and their families, Senator Ndume took decisive action to alleviate their burdens and provide much-needed support.
He donated tricycles to the families of the victims, to be used for commercial purposes and add to their income. The Senator also donated cash to assist those on admission at the hospital.
Additionally, he has taken proactive steps to ensure that one of the victims receives the necessary medical care, by facilitating transfer to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for specialized treatment.
Junaid Jibril Maiva, Senator Ndume’s Head of Media, facilitated the presentation of the tricycle, known as JEGA, to the mother of the victims, providing them with support for the day-to-day upkeep of their gallant loved ones who are members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
Meanwhile, officials of Gwoza Youths Forum, led by Honourable Bunu, have expressed their gratitude to the Senator for being instrumental to the establishment of Federal College of Education (FCE) Gwoza and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) station in Gwoza.
As a token of his support, the senator donated one million naira and a tricycle to support the forum in carrying out its activities.
