Tinubu appoints new CG for Federal Fire Service
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
Malam Abdulmalik Jibrin, the secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), said this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
Jibrin said that the appointment of Adeyemi, who was the Deputy Controller-General of the service, would take effect
as from Aug. 14.
“The new CG will take over from Engr. Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, who will retire from service on Aug. 1,2025 after attaining the age of 60.
“Adeyemi will be bringing his wealth of experience to the new role. He had been transferred from the FCT Fire Service to the Federal Fire Service, where he had grown to the position of Deputy Controller-General of Fire in the Human Resources Directorates at the headquarters of the service,” he said.
