Yobe Gov’t, Organised Labour agree on N70,000 Minimum Wage

The Organised Labour in Yobe State, on Friday, signed an agreement on the implementation of the new national minimum wage of N70,000 with Yobe State Government.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the permanent secretaries in the office of the state Head of Civil Service.
The unions were represented by Yobe State NLC Chairman, Comrade Muktar Musa Tarbutu, that of Trade Union Congress (TUC) Bulama Musa, and the Chairman, Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Baba Shehu Mustapha.
Briefing journalists after signing the agreement, the state NLC chairman said that the N70,000 minimum wage affects state and local government workers, as well as pensioners.
