Zulum Appoints Provost, Registrar For Agric College

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has approved the appointment of substantive provost and registrar for Mohammed Lawan College of Agriculture, Maiduguri.
Those appointed by the governor are Dr Alhaji Abba Makinta as Provost and Baba Kura Mohammed as the college Registrar.
The two appointments were announced on Saturday by the governor’s senior special assistant on new media, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, in a release to newsmen.
The new provost holds a doctorate in agricultural economics and has about 29 publications to his credit.
An Associate Professor at the University of Maiduguri, Dr Makinta started his acdemic sojourn at the agric college as Assistant Lecturer.
On his part, Mohammed was the college’s Deputy Registrar since 2022 before his elevation.
He served in various capacities in the college, including student affairs officer, admission officer, and exam officer.
The governor expressed confidence that the new appointees will be diligent in the discharge of their duties.
