Zulum donates 4 vans, 50 motorcycles to troops
Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the release of four Buffalo Toyota Pick-up vans, 50 motorcycles and some surveillance facilities to enhance the operational capabilities of troops in New Marte area of the state.
Zulum announced the approval on Thursday during a visit to New Marte to assess the security situation and arrangements for the resettlement of some communities in the area.
The governor commended the military for their relentless efforts in restoring peace and stability to the area, as well as their sacrifices and dedication which paved the way for the gradual return of normalcy in the region.
The Syndicate reports that the governor had a stopover in Dikwa to assess the progress of work at the Dikwa High Islamic College, General Hospital and the semi-permanent shelters built for the return of some displaced persons.
