ADTN TO HOLD 38TH NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE IN JIGAWA

The Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria (ADTN) is to hold its 38th National Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Dutse, Jigawa State, in October 2026.
The National President of the Association Dr. Eyafere O. Stephen made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the Jigawa State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri in his office.
” This historic event marks the first time Jigawa will host the AGM, reflecting the Association’s commitment to fostering collaboration and growth within the dental technology community across Nigeria” the National President said.
Dr. Eyafere O. Stephen, said “This conference serves as a vital platform for dental technologists nationwide to convene, review our collective progress, and address the challenges we face through scientific discourse.”
The National President also commended Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi for recruitment of more healthcare professionals and solicited the support of the Jigawa State Head of Service to ensure that a MEMO seeking for enhance the entry-point for dental technologists during the upcoming Council of Establishment scale through.
Responding, the Jigawa State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri expressed gratitude for the visit and assured Dr. Stephen of the state’s unwavering support. He highlighted the governor’s successful recruitment of over ten thousand workers since 2023 to date and reiterated the state’s commitment to timely salary payments and a robust pension scheme.
In his remarks, Honourable Lawan Muhammad Garba, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs and an ADTN member, praised the decision to host the conference in Jigawa for the first time. He shared insights into the governor’s substantial contributions to the health sector and reaffirmed the commitment to continue supporting advancements in healthcare.
He said “This scientific conference, not only represents a milestone for the ADTN but also showcases Jigawa’s growing role in Nigeria’s healthcare service.
