CCSPCR WELCOMES JIGAWA–RANO AIR PARTNERSHIP, CALLS FOR MORE INVESTMENT, JOB CREATION

The Civil Society Coalition on Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution (CCSPCR) has lauded the signing of the Air Route Development Partnership Agreement between the Jigawa State Government and Rano Air Limited for scheduled commercial flights between Abuja and Dutse.
This is contained in a press statement signed by Barrister Nura Muhammad, the coalition’s Acting Head of Secretariat on behalf for the Chairman, Comrade Musbahu Basirka in Dutse on Wednesday.
“As civil society organizations and partners in progress, we acknowledge this milestone as an important step towards improving connectivity, attracting investments and supporting the economic priorities of Jigawa State.

“The commencement of regular flights, scheduled three times weekly, has the potential to create opportunities for businesses, investors, professionals, tourists and development partners to access the state more conveniently.
“We believe this development can also contribute to employment opportunities, support local businesses and strengthen Jigawa’s agriculture, commerce, education, tourism and investment sectors.
‘Beyond transportation, increased air activity can enhance Jigawa’s visibility and connectivity, while supporting broader economic and social development. We encourage all relevant stakeholders to ensure that aviation safety, accountability and responsible management remain priorities,” he said.

CALL FOR MORE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES
Muhammad called on the Jigawa State government to continue to pursue more strategic partnership for the development of the state.
“CCSPCR calls on the Jigawa State Government to continue pursuing more strategic partnerships and development initiatives that will; Attract more investments into the state.
– Create meaningful employment opportunities for young people.
– Support local businesses and entrepreneurs.
– Improve transportation and other critical infrastructure.
– Strengthen economic opportunities and social development across Jigawa.

“We commend Governor Malam Umar Namadi, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Aminu Usman, and Rano Air Limited for this initiative.

‘As partners in progress, we look forward to seeing more initiatives that will improve the lives of citizens and position Jigawa State for sustainable development.
“Jigawa needs more of these milestones. We call for more investments, more infrastructure, more opportunities and more development for our people,” he said.
