JIGAWA AUCTIONEERS SEEK STRONGER PARTNERSHIP WITH GOVERNOR NAMADI’S ADMINISTRATION
The Jigawa State Association of Auctioneers has called for a robust partnership with the administration of Governor Malam Umar A Namadi, emphasizing its commitment to transparent asset disposal and revenue generation for the state.
The Chairman of the association, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Gumel, made the call when he led members of the association on a courtesy visit to the office of the Jigawa State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri.
The association’s Chairman, highlighted the critical role of collaboration in ensuring that state assets are auctioned efficiently, securing optimal deals, and ensuring all proceeds are remitted directly to state coffers.
Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Gumel, underscored the association’s long-standing involvement in fostering a strong and sustainable economy within Jigawa State. He reiterated the association’s unified stance, stating, “The Jigawa State Association of Auctioneers is assuring Governor Malam Umar A Namadi that our members have remained vigilant and are working closely with well-meaning citizens of Jigawa State at the grassroots to ensure that Governor Malam Umar A Namadi is re-elected as Governor of Jigawa State for a second term.”
He further appealed to the government to formally recognize auctioneers as key partners in this process, stressing that their transparent methods have consistently yielded positive results over the years. “This can be achieved when the association is united, and I want to assure you that the association is now one in Jigawa State. We are appealing for the government to accept auctioneers as partners in ensuring that all State assets auctioned get a better deal and the monies realized from the sales get to the coffers of the state government,” Gumel stated.
Responding, the Jigawa State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri, assured the association of the present administration’s full support and cooperation under Governor Namadi. He expressed satisfaction at the association’s newfound unity, noting that “the unity of members of the association is very critical in ensuring that transparency and accountability is in place while discharging their responsibilities.”
Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri emphasized that a united front among auctioneers would bolster public trust and enhance the integrity of the asset disposal process.
