JIGAWA HOS URGES RETIRED/ DECEASED DESK OFFICERS TO ACT WITH INTEGRITY

The Jigawa State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, has called upon retired/deceased desk officers across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to uphold integrity in their duties.

He made this appeal during a meeting with officers from selected MDAs, held in his office.

Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri emphasized the urgent need to address delays in processing files for retired and deceased civil servants, ensuring timely payments through the contributory pension scheme.

The Head of Service reminded the officers of their responsibilities toward civil servants and the importance of ethical conduct. He commended Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi for his unwavering support to the State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme, which is recognized as a leading model nationwide.

Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri cautioned the officers to treat files of retired/deceased officers with fairness and justice, adhering strictly to civil service rules to ensure all requirements are met as stipulated.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme, Dr. Bilyaminu Shittu Aminu, highlighted the meeting’s purpose in resolving issues related to file processing delays. He also commended Governor Namadi for significantly investing in the scheme to enhance the welfare of civil servants and pensioners.

Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and contribute, fostering open dialogue on these critical issues.
