The Yobe State Government has approved a new salary structure for the Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, the Auditor-General, and the Accountant-General.
, as part of its commitment to improving the welfare of senior civil servants.
According to Alhassan Sule Mamudo, Head of Information, Office of the Head of Service, the Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa Shehu, said the new monthly salary structure provides N1,430,830.75 for the Head of Service, N1,203,851.55 for Permanent Secretaries, and N1,114,666.36 for the Auditor-General and Accountant-General, respectively.
The Head of Service expressed appreciation to Governor Mai Mala Buni for his understanding of the needs of civil servants and his continued commitment to their welfare.
He urged the beneficiaries and other civil servants across the state to reciprocate the government’s gesture through greater dedication, commitment, and improved service delivery, while also encouraging political support for the APC from top to bottom (Daga Sama Har Kasa).
He further noted that the government had introduced various welfare packages for civil servants, with additional initiatives underway to improve their well-being and strengthen the state’s public service.
