57 students of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Islamiyya School memorise Holy Qur’an in Kaugama

About 57 students from Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Model Nursery and Primary School, have memorized the Holy Quran in Kaugama Local Government Area(LGA) of Jigawa.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Imam of Kaugama, Malam Nura liman, expressed delight at the achievement, saying that it was the first time the school was graduating 57 students who memorized the Holy Quran.
He said that similar ceremonies were held at different schools registered under the Dahiru Bauchi School in many parts of the country.
In his remark, one of the organisers, Malam Ibrahim Muhammad Abega, said the school was in dire need of assistance from philanthropists and wealthy individuals to ensure its smooth and continued running.
“The school is in dire need of urgent financial assistance to ensure that teachers salaries are paid as well as other developmental projects in the school,” he said.
Abega solicited for the support of the state government toward building additional classes for the school to provide the necessary atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Also speaking, the Chief Imam of Hadejia Emirate, Sheikh Yusuf Abrulrahman Ya’u, appealed to the government and wealthy individuals to come to the aid of the school toward building additional classes to accommodate the increasing students.
He lauded the teachers of the school for their efforts in ensuring that the graduating students memorized the Holy Quran.
Highlights of the events included the administration of some verses of the Holy Qur’an on the graduating students by Al sheikh Aliyu Alsheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
He also advised them to use what they learnt in all their endeavours in life.
In his speech, the Emir of Hadejia, Jigawa Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Abubakar Maje Haruna, pledged to submit the request made by the management of school to the Emirate Council for consideration and necessary action.
Represented by Turakin Hadejia, Alhaji Dauda Yusuf, Haruna expressed satisfaction with the large number of male students among the graduands.
The management of the school presented award of honour to some philanthropists in recognition of their support for the school.
