Again, Bandits attack Mosque, kill 5 worshippers in Zamfara
Bandits have again attacked another mosque in Zamfara, killing worshippers and abducting many others.
The attack occurred during the early morning prayers on Friday in “Yandoto, Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
Sources said five people were killed on the spot while many worshippers were abducted and herded into the bush by the bandits.
The latest attack is the fourth reported attack on Mosques in North West Nigeria where armed groups have intensified attacks on local communities.
In the early hours of September 15, bandits attacked a mosque at Gidan Turbe village, also in Tsafe Local Government Area, abducting no fewer than 40 worshippers.
A similar attack occurred hours earlier at Godai village in Bukkuyum LGA of the state, where over 10 persons were kidnapped.
Earlier in August, bandits killed over 32 people in similar passion when they attacked early morning worshippers at a mosque in Malumfashi area of Katsina State.
