Gov Yusuf nominates 2 Commissioners 
Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has submitted the names of two persons as Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
This is contained in a statement by the spokesperson for the governor, Malam Sunusi Bature in Kano on Sunday.
Bature said that the nominees included Mr Abdulkarim Maude, a SAN-designate, and Dr Aliyu Isa, an Associate Professor of Allied Mathematics.
He said that Maude was a lawyer with extensive experience in office administration, Court proceedings, and corporate practice.
While, Isa was a renowned researcher in Mathematics and served as the Statistician-General/Director General of the State Bureau of Statistics.
Bature said that the governor had also approved the appointment of Mr Salisu Tahir as the new Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Justice.
Tahir was the Director of Public Prosecution in the ministry.
He said that Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting competence, professionalism, and integrity in public service, as he injects young and energetic new members into the cabinet.
