
Kano Schools to reopen after Ramadan break
The Kano State Government has announced Monday, March 23 as resumption date for Primary and Post Primary Schools as Ramadan break.
Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, Director Public Enlightenment in the state Ministry of Education, stated this in a statement issued on Sunday in Kano.
Yakasai said however, that Boarding Schools’ Pupils and Students were to resume schools on Sunday 22 March, 2026.
He said that the second term would end on Saturday 18 April, 2026.
“All public and private schools in the State are hereby directed to comply with this directive, as non compliance will be treated as a breach of the State Government’s directive.
“The Commissioner of Education, Gwani Dr. Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda calls on Parents/Guardians of Pupils and Students to ensure total compliance with the approved resumption dates.
“He thank parents/guardians and good people of the state for the usual cooperation and support giving to the Ministry, wishing the Students and Pupils for a successful completion of Ramadan Fasting and a hitch free Sallah celebrations,” he said.
