NUJ hails Gov Namadi’s transformational leadership @ 3rd anniversary

The Jigawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated Gov. Umar Namadi on his three years anniversary in office, applauding his administration’s commitment to people-oriented governance and impactful reforms across the state.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Ismail Ibrahim Dutse, the Union commended the governor for recording remarkable achievements in key sectors including food security, infrastructure development, education, agriculture, as well as sustaining peace and security throughout Jigawa State.
The NUJ particularly praised Governor Namadi for lifting the over two-decade employment embargo in the state, a bold decision that paved the way for massive recruitment across various sectors and created employment opportunities for thousands of citizens.
The Council also acknowledged the administration’s efforts toward improving workers’ welfare through prompt payment of salaries, gratuities, and monthly pensions. It further described the over ₦12 billion investment in the Contributory Pension Scheme as a significant intervention aimed at securing the future of retirees in the state.
While encouraging the governor to remain focused in addressing existing challenges, the Union expressed confidence that history would remember his administration as a period marked by sustainable growth, inclusive governance, and community-driven policies.
The NUJ also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration between the media and the Jigawa State Government in promoting transparency, accountability, and socio-economic development across the state.
