JISITDEA OPENS BID FOR SOLAR POWER INSTALLATION AT 26 COMPUTER LEARNING CENTRES ACROSS THE STATE

The Jigawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (JISITDEA) has opened tender for the installation of solar-powered electricity systems at 26 Computer Learning Centres the State.

Declaring the bid open, the Director General of the Agency, Dr. Muhammad Hassan said, the initiative is aimed to enhance ICT literacy and access for the youth, fostering a more digitally inclusive environment.

Represented, by the Director Administration and Finance, Tasi’u Adamu, the Director General, emphasized the importance of adherence to the Bill of Quantities and the specifications outlined in the bidding documents. He urged the successful contractor to ensure compliance with all terms to guarantee the project’s success.

Dr. Muhammad Hassan highlighted the administration of Malam Umar A Namadi’s commitment to improving ICT literacy among the youth in Jigawa State.

On his part, the Director General, Due Process and Project Monitoring Bureau, Professor Kasim Muhammad, called on the technical committee to be fair and just to all bidders.

Represented by Engineer Shu’aibu Ali, the DG reaffirmed Governor Umar Namadi administration’s dedication to transparency and quality service delivery. He warned that substandard work would not be tolerated and urged contractors to execute the project to the highest standards.

Malam Kamal Ibrahim, representing the bidders from Ragaya and Sons Nigeria Limited, praised JISITDEA for its transparent bidding process and assured the government of their commitment to deliver quality work.

The bidding exercise was attended by representatives from various ministries, departments, and agencies, and members of civil society organizations, showcasing a collective effort towards advancing ICT infrastructure in the state.
