Kaduna govt distrutes 3,000 food packs to orphanages
The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, has flagged off the distribution of 3, 000 food packs to orphanage in the state.
The deputy governor was supported by the Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu, whose ministry is coordinating the distribution of the palliative.
The distribution was done on Saturday at the Dankande Grain Silo in Igabi Local Government Area of the state.
The commissioner said that a total of 3,000 food packs were shared to the over 80 registered orphanage homes in the state.
Rabi said that the food palliative was put together by the state government with the support of Federal Government and the Bank of Industry.
She commended operators of the orphanages for their selfless service to humanity, and pledged that Kaduna State Government was committed to addressing all barriers faced by vulnerable groups and individuals in the state.
The commissioner said that her ministry has articulated plans to provide similar support to internally displaced persons.
