Kaduna Customs Command Records 98% Revenue Boost

The Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, has recorded 98.79% increase in revenue collection between January and November 2024, its Comptroller, Tijjani Abe, has said.
A total of ₦28.404 billion was recorded within the period as against ₦14.288 billion generated during the same period in 2023, Abe said in a statement issued by the Command’s Spokesman, SC Ridwan Yusuf, on Friday in Kaduna.
According to him, N4 billion was generated in November 2024, the highest ever in the history of the command.
He said the revenue generated came from three major sources namely, Import Duty, ₦14,147,496,714.00; Excise Duty, ₦6,257,546,641.13; and Fees and others ₦7,999,056,575.06.
Abe attributed the Command’s success to strategic initiatives introduced by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, and his management team.
He also acknowledged the collaborative efforts of sister agencies, including the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies, in supporting the Command’s operations.
Abe reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining the momentum in enhancing revenue collection, and fostering a friendly trade environment within its jurisdiction.
