ABBA KA CIKA GWARZO: THREE YEARS OF TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP IN KANO STATE

As Kano State marks three years under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, it is fitting to reflect on a remarkable journey defined by visionary leadership, people centered governance, and an unwavering commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy.
Since assuming office, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has demonstrated that leadership is not merely about occupying a position of authority but about responding to the aspirations and needs of the people. Across critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, women youth, Person With Disabilities (PWDs) empowerment, social welfare, agriculture, and human development, his administration has pursued bold reforms and impactful interventions aimed at improving the quality of life of ordinary citizens.
The restoration and expansion of educational opportunities, rehabilitation and construction of public infrastructure, support for vulnerable groups, promotion of economic activities, and renewed focus on transparency and accountability have all contributed to strengthening public confidence in government. Under his stewardship, Kano has continued to witness projects and policies designed to create a more prosperous, inclusive, and progressive society.
What distinguishes Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration is its commitment to putting the people first. His accessibility, responsiveness, and dedication to fulfilling campaign promises have earned him widespread admiration across different segments of society. Through determination, courage, and strategic governance, he has reaffirmed the belief that government can indeed serve as a vehicle for positive change and collective progress.
As a concerned citizen (PWD) of Kano State, I join millions of well-wishers in acknowledging and appreciating the Governor’s efforts over the past three years. While challenges remain, the achievements recorded so far provide a strong foundation for greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
Indeed, the popular slogan on the lips of many Kano citizens captures the prevailing sentiment :-
“Abba Ka Cika Gwarzo, Komai Ake Bukata Kayi!”
May Almighty Allah continue to grant His Excellency wisdom, strength, good health, and guidance as he continues the noble task of building a greater Kano State for present and future generations.
