APC ‘ll clear Kano LG Poll – Official
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed optimism that it will clear the Oct. 26 Kano State local government councils poll.
The state APC chairman, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, said this in an interview with newsmen in Kano on Thursday.
Abbas said that the party would defend its votes in the forth coming poll.
He said that the party would soon organise its primaries to pave way for the emergence of candidates for the election across the 44 local government areas of the state.
“We are doing everything humanly possible to ensure our teeming supporters participate in the elections
” The APC is mobilizing supporters to participate in the election, with a focus on protecting votes and ensuring a peaceful process,” he said.
Abbas appealed to the State Independent Electoral Commission(KANSIEC) to provide an enabling environment for free, fair, and credible elections.
“We demand equal opportunities from the commission for all contestants to participate without political violence and thuggery.
“We also demand transparent electoral process for the peaceful atmosphere of all electoral process,” he said.
The chairman said the party had since embarked on a house-to-house sensitization of its teeming supporters to come out and participate in the October poll.
